Daniel Santangeli is Program Coordinator at Next Wave. Previously Daniel worked as a Visual Arts Coordinator on Backbone Youth Art’s 2high Festival in 2009 and was selected to be Festival Manager in the year following. In 2011, Daniel was selected to be curator of CROSS STITCH, Metro Arts’ two-night arts event.
As a theatre director, he has created Wheyface (Next Wave Festival, 2012) and his previous work, Room 328, was nominated for three Green Room Awards for its 2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival season. Other works include DJ While You Sleep (Judith Wright Centre, 2010), Several Words Associated with Revenge (Metro Arts’ Independents Program, 2008) and circus works created with CIRCA’s youth ensemble in 2008. Daniel graduated from Queensland University of Technology with first class honours in 2007.
Daniel produces Like a Flash a podcast about art and the world and is currently creating a new immersive work, Kidnapped.
