Jessica has been dance training since the age of six. She started out in jazz then branched into ballet, contemporary, hip hop, dancehall, tap, and burlesque. At 17, Jessica completed a two year VET dance course. By 21 she was accepted into the Australian Institute of Performing Arts in Sydney giving her the opportunity to train with some of the best directors, singers and choreographers including Alison Stone. Since then she has completed training at Robert Sturrock’s Industry School of Dance, expanding on her knowledge of dance and intensive training.
Jessica was one of the first members to join Provokativ Dance Company in 2012. She has since joined Melbourne’s first Dancehall group Burncity Queenz directed by Cat Pwiti. Between Provokativ and Burncity Queenz Jessica has performed extensively at Melbourne’s clubs and dance events including; White Night, Johnston Street Spanish Fiesta and opened for artists such as Elephant Man and Demarco. When Jessica is not on the dance floor of Melbourne’s hottest clubs you can catch her teaching dance in Melbourne and Ballarat in regional Victoria. Jessica ‘s passion lies with the creativity of dance and in giving the opportunity to others in the community to learn dance of all forms.
